I chose to discuss about family life. No matter in which country or which era you live, every family has its own ups and down. They have evolved with time. They are the first one to share your happiness and sorrows.

A much smaller place with less population and immigrants from various countries, trying to settle with their families in Canada. It was a completely different view from now. Everything has changed since then from population to technology and lifestyle, we came a long way. In this project I will discussing about what a typical Canadian family used to look like, what were family members role now and then and what is difference in struggle.

So, while taking interview there was a lot i learnt about her life and that era, how families used to live in small houses and close to each other and now its other way around, house are large and families and far from each other.
The time when women consider more like robot, with no feelings and emotion. People used them for their own purposes. From taking care of husband to their children, there life was never easy.

This graph below shows men and women in workplace. Which clearly shows how that this society is male dominated. But now women and grabbing equal opportunities and standing tall with men in every field, with each passing year.
just to start here are example of few questions that i asked, so we can get a brief knowledge about topic and understand better the difference between two the times.

Before I get into any discussion here is an example of famous Canadian physician Dr. Emily Howard Stove. She was first women to practice medicine not only this she open the doors for many other women as well. In 1865 she was denied by college, after completing medical in USA, she moved back to Canada in 1867. she not only fought for women rights in medical school but also in 1884 she gave them equal rights in property with their spouse.
world is progressing slowly, some rights were given earlier while others were provided later.
yes, women's condition have improves since then. whether it is in terms of family or in work. from interviews and surfing through internet I believe that if you have right person in your life, it becomes easy, sharing responsibilities, understanding and respecting women choices and their demands are equally important. we all have to work together to make world safe and better place for women.

I interviewed my landlord lady Kanza, who is 49 years old. Though she was born in Pakistan, but she has spent more than half of her life in Canada. She moved here at age of 10 with her parents as an immigrant. I choose her because primarily because she was easily approachable and, she was perfect match form my assignment. She is a wife, a mother and a daughter. Like any other women she has her own duties, task and responsibilities.
She has lived her life in both era's. She has seen growth and development with time. She knows better about life and she is smart and beautiful lady who has done a lit for her family.

This was fun interview. Which taught me a lot about our society. How we have grown over past years, what has changed, what stills needs to be done.
We have access to better technology, modern equipment's, Great medical facilities, education for both men and women, equal opportunity for women. We are getting better as a society.
When I think about a life in early 1990's, I think it is was difficult to survive, especially for women, who were not even given basic rights. Even now as women you have prove yourself to be better than a man.
And lastly I believe that both times are totally different. With their own pros and cons, But with time we all are progressing.

Speaking about the difference between two times, we can for sure say that now quality of life is better in many terms, as compared to previous time.
In terms of health we have a lot more medical facilities, faster treatment and more knowledge about health and diseases. And even for women they have better access to it. We have more equipment's available, we have doctors instead of mid wives, we have figure out ways for abortion, complication with pregnancy or even unwanted pregnancies. Even women can have a lot more benefits for their mensuration cycle.
Education has became an important part of our lives as well.
Moreover, technology has improved and is advanced, which makes life easy and better now. There are more resources available. And in addition to it it very importantly women now have better life, though still not like what men lives. But women are given equal opportunities in many fields, they consider more than a housewives.
Like a coin has two sides, similarly it too has its own cons.
Earlier though their were less availability of assets, still people were happy in their own world. I believe that we are progressing super fast without realizing are real happiness. We are busy in earning money and materialistic things that put us in stress and depression.
Furthermore, eve teasing in still part of our society in some places, we hear about rape and sexual assault every now and then. Here is the link to and pdf which gives us brief review of the statistics
