         <description><![CDATA[<div>According to the Pan African Medical Journal, “falling rocks were the leading&nbsp;cause of injury (18.2%) and majority sustained multiple injuries (33%)”. In the related&nbsp;study, 41% of patients died due to mining related injuries. Almost none of the&nbsp;patients used protective equipment while on the job. Following falling rocks, was&nbsp;explosions (16.9%) and falls (16.1%) making the top 3 causes of death, spanning&nbsp;51.2%, accident related within the mines.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Despite many efforts by the Tanzanian government to regulate and criminalize child labor, approximately 25% of children between the ages of 5 and 14 remain working, often in dangerous conditions. Ten percent of this population is directly related to the mining industry which is more than a million children being exposed to falling rocks, dangerous chemicals and conditions that make them more susceptible to Tuberculosis.</div>]]></description>
