She grew up in a big family full of storytellers and practical jokers. <strong>Megan</strong>'s father, an ironworker, was known for telling long and entertaining stories. With the help of her mother, <strong>Megan</strong> began to write stories of her own.&nbsp; Most famous for the <em>Judy Moody</em> series, McDonald has published 25 children’s books as well as books for young adults. The author now resides in Sebastopol, California with her husband.</div>]]></description>

In 2011 the National Book Foundation named him a 5 under 35 honoree.
