Resilience is having the determination to keep going no matter what the cost, and in mountains we acknowledge that we are resilient when it comes to all the challenges we face, whether it be our inter whanau competitions or another event we as student of mountains are always ready to face any challenge that is thrown our way. As students we are tasked with day to day struggles whether it be with our work or anything else and as students of mountains we believe that we can overcome all the challenges we face. Business in New Zealand are always resilient, just like Fonterra when their milk was found to have pesticides the company stayed resilient and did not give up to provide good and healthy milk to new Zealanders, and as mountains students, we believe that no matter what the cost we will stay resilient throughout any challenge. In conclusion mountains students we believe that we are resilient and can overcome any challenge thrown at us. </div>]]></description>

Respect also means having a mutual relationship with everyone and always being nice to one another. In mountains whanau, we believe that we follow the same concept of having a mutual respect for one another and are willing to do anything to make mountains the best. In New, Zealand business is always respecting one another and in mountains whanau, we are always wanting to help one another and are always willing to do whatever makes the whanau great. Just like a business in New Zealand they are always conducting deal and other sought of trade and intern always must respect one another for a fair business deal, in mountains, we somewhat relate to that concept.We as mountains students are always wanting to be the best and in doing so we need to respect one another in a way which gives us the brand identity of being a family oriented whanau. As mountains students, we like to consider that we are very innovative when it comes to a lot of things, wheater it is our competitions or to decorating the whanau. In mountains whanau, we are always innovating and wanting this can be shown by all of our logo created by us to represent the whanau. Like business, they are always wanting to innovate and make their businesses bigger and better, they do this by innovating and making different services or products. As students of mountains, we also like to consider that we take the same concept and use it in a different way by making whanau competitions, decorating our whanau's or anything else we like to take the concept business use and convert it and make it our own. In conclusion, we believe that innovation is one of mountains core values. </div>]]></description>

Having courage implies doing whatever it take even if it scares you, Also means to push through your fears or just anything to succeed or complete something. Courage is an obvious branding identity for mountains whanau as every mountains student would ignore their fear and still do what they need to do to succeed.&nbsp; Every year student from all over mountains has their own personal courage as mountain student can be seen participating in speech finals, cross country inter school, athletics, many academic opportunities, debating, and any inter whanau competition there is during a year.&nbsp; Our market research also displays how many others already view student of mountains whanau as courage. Courage is an essential value for a successful business, every successful New Zealand businesses started with someone having the courage to start a business and became successful through the business being courage's enough to continue with there businesses. Courage is what lead to success from any aspect that's why all mountains student posses the ability to be courages in any situation. I reckon courage should definitely be a braiding identity for the student of mountains as every student is already viewed as courage and all mountains student will continue being courages all around the school.</div>]]></description>

Being determined means setting your mind to something and being compelled to complete what you're determined to accomplish, Determination also means having the will to go through with whatever you have set your mind too. Determined is an ideal value for mountain branding identity because mountains students are definitely determined as they never give up, for example in swimming sports mountains was nearly leading throughout the whole thing. Also according to our market research, most people already view mountains students as determined. Most NZ businesses are required to be determined to be successful, Just as Fonterra is determined to show how every child in New Zealand deserves to be drinking milk. Being determined is a core branding identity for mountain whanau as the determination is what leads to success, determination is a value that everyone in mountains already possesses. Overall Determination is one the most important brand identity's of mountains whanau Because mountains students are determined to make it to the top of their own mountains.</div>]]></description>

Mountains students can be seen all around the school participating is leadership opportunities, definitely everyone in mountains has the ability to empower others.According to our market research leaders were one of the many options that got votes on what people think of mountains students. Every single New Zealand company is required to have a value of being a leader. The branding identity of being a leader is what make a successful company. Having the value of leadership is what drives success and should be one the core branding identity's for mountains whanau.          <title>Justification of Logo - Dominate Image</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The dominant image in our logo is the mountain. The dominant image is a huge red mountain with white snow on top, the mountain is obviously the largest thing on the image which is what makes it a dominant image.  We chose to put red on the dominant image because the mountains are the largest thing on the logo and the most noticeable part of our image, so we made the most noticeable part of the image as the color red (color of mountains whanau.), we chose red because it is a very bright color and can easily be seen from far away. The color red shows our dominance as a whanau and how we strive to achieve to a very high standard. As mountain students, we believe we have the potential to win anything and everything, and with this logo, it shows the core values of mountains which are Respect, resilience, determination, innovative, courage and leaders. We believe that as mountain students we have embraced all of these values and have exceeded at showing them multiple times. Therefore our dominate image is something which relates to all mountains students by showing the values of the mountain. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Justification of Logo - Negative Space </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The negative space on our logo is presented as the snow on top of the mountain as it is really the letter "M"<br>We chose to put snow on top of the mountain because it represents New Zealand mountains specifically, also the chosen color white was because on the MHJC logo mountains are displayed as white. We transformed the white snow into the letter M because of it the fist letter of the word "mountains". We Specifically used negative space in that area because the "m" still blends in with the actual dominant image but when noticed it stand out. The negative space was shown at the top of the image or the tip of the mountain.<br>The main reason we chose to use negative at the top of the image because it is the highest point of a mountain and some of the mountains main values are being determined or having the courage or being resilient enough to reach the top of a mountain. In conclusion, the negative space of the snow on top of the mountain was a way to show the visual impact it has on mountains whanau through its values. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Justification of Logo - Colour</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our Mountains logo has tree main colours red, white and black. <br>We had chosen red because it is directly associated with mountains as it is the colour of the whanau. Red is also the colour that displays energy, power and determination which are all values that we associate with mountains.  We used the colour white because white is the other main colour associated with our whanau as on the logo of MHJC mountains is white, also white represents Honesty &amp; Respect which are two of the main things mountains students are represented by. We also used the colour black emphasis on those particular things. In the image the red was used as the base till nearly the top of the mountain, white was used for the "snow" on top of the mountain and the back was the outline of the dominant image and it was used for the symbol on the flag of the logo. The colour we used in our logo are also associated with several other successful companies such as coke, Netflix and target, ultimately using the colour of other extremely popular companies can draw more attention to our design. The two main colours of our logo are significant because they represent the core values of our whanau, Red &amp; white are the two colours that are associated with mountains is always, through values, through the colour of our whanau and through the MHJC logo. Overall these colour work together to show the visual impact and representation of mountains, It is also directly associated with the values mountain students are associated with. <br> </div>]]></description>

         <title>Justification of Logo - Slogan Relation/typeface</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our logo is related to our slogan, "it's not the mountain we conquer but ourselves. The logo has a flag at the top of the mountain, this shows that we have reached the mountain's peak and have placed the flag on the peak to show our dominance.  The quote "it's not the mountain we conquer but ourselves is placed at the bottom of the logo to draw more attention to the top of the logo. For the font we had decided to use a bold font, we had chosen this because it is vibrant and is also not overpowered by the actual logo itself. The quote "it's not the mountain we conquer but ourselves relates perfectly with the logo because our actual logo is a red mountain with a flag on the top, the flag at the top of the logo is meant to represent that we have conquered the mountain by reaching the summit and have placed the flag on the top, this ties in with the saying because on the flag there is a Maori triple twist which represents equality and respect which we believe are two of mountains ideals. In conclusion, our logo is related to the slogan both visually and by the symbolism behind it. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In our logo, we have plenty of symbolism the core ones being the flag on top of the mountain and the symbolism on the flag.<br>All of our symbolism is based on the core values that we associate with mountains whanau and it's students. Resilient, Respect, Determined &amp; Courage. The flag on top at the mountain represent that mountain student has the determination and resilience to make it to the top of this mountain and their own mountains. It also means that we have the courage to climb the mountains in the fist place. Also on the flag, there is a Maori symbol known as a triple twist, triple twist means to have respect and different cultures within a whanau. we chose this because respect is a core value of mountains whanau and the one value that most people already view mountains students as. We chose to use the symbolism as the flag and on the flag because flags are associated with mountains and specifically conquering them, the symbolism is also associated with the slogan. The symbolism of our logo was all to promote our values of branding identity, also to show how our logo is associated with the mountains whanau slogan. In conclusion, the symbolism of our image is to show our values of mountains as a visual impact. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Justification of Logo - Unification of Image</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our logo design is cohesively tied together with a clear balance with both text and image. Our image is tied in two ways with both text and the image, our image the mountain with the flag is tied with the slogan "It's not the mountain we conquer but ourselves" because it shows that we have scaled the mountain and have conquered it by placing a flag at the top. Our logo shows that we have not only conquered the mountain but we have conquered ourselves because of the triple twist which is placed on the flag at the top of the mountain. Our logo uses the "rules of threes" which means our image is dived into three sections, the top being the flag with the triple twist, the actual mountain and finally the logo at the bottom. The rules of three are used very effectively here because the image is clearly divided yet it still is cohesively tied together and blends well together and it effectively demonstrates what mountains represent as a whanau with its core values. Overall our image effectively uses the "rules of three" and is tied together with both the text and image. </div>]]></description>
