My use of this technology benefits me in my personal time, but I use what I know with my students. I have been able to work on smaller projects (skateboard decks) with high risk students to keep them invested.

You can use sketchup, but you might not be able to install the other pieces of software that make the connection between software. Apples are great, but there are some things that PC's do better in terms of file conversion. The point to all of this is that we have hurdles to jump in the policies we have at the district level too.
