Wells Middle School in Brewster, New York, Kieran Stack drew on more than 30 years of experience in education in that position. He began his career in 1986 as a business teacher at Yonkers, New York's Sacred Heart High School, where he developed and led a work-study program to help seniors to build experience and create connections with local businesses. In addition, Kieran Stack introduced a Business Enterprise class to the school that blended business theory learning with practical experience in investing, real estate, and community service. Kieran Stack joined the school while a graduate student of business at Iona College, and he remained on its faculty long after he received his MBA in organizational behavior and management. Named assistant principal in 1994, he took a hands-on role in helping teachers meet student needs and manage classrooms effectively. In 1996, Kieran Stack left Sacred Heart to accept his role in the Brewster schools. During 22 years of leadership, he cultivated a school culture of problem-solving and student support, and he encouraged families to participate in conversations about behavior issues.
