We arrived to Valencia at about 11 a.m. and a bus brought us to IES Andreu Alfaro school, where the Spanish students gave us a wonderful welcome: they had been waiting for us for a while and they were ready to applaud. It seemed like we were popstars and we were on the red carpet. When we went into the school, we saw a big sign that said “Welcome to Valencia”. Under that, hung on the walls, there were all our names and some photos we took in Venice.

Then we visited the “Rajolar”, an industry that was used to make bricks and others construction elements. Nowadays it’s only a museum where the visitors can look at the technical processes of the fabrication, the job’s conditions and the historical context where the factory proliferated.
A guide showed us the objects owned by the museum and told us they are reproduction given that the part we saw had been an oven.

In the afternoon we decided to visit Valencia (even though we knew we would visit it in the next few days). We took the underground and in 15 minutes we arrived. I was amazed by the beauty of this city. The thing that impressed me the most was probably the “Plaça de l'Ajuntament” where there’s the “Casa Consistorial de la ciudad de Valencia” (in the photo), which is the palace where the council (included the mayor) reunites. We also saw the “Plaza de Toros” (bulls’ square) and some wonderful shops.
