The toxic waste that was buried seeped up through the ground and contaminated everything and there was a ton of toxic things in the environment. Human mismanagement of waste and environmental disregard caused this incident.

To prevent something like this from happening again we must keep people accountable for how they dispose of their toxic waste and teach others about the hazards of waste dumping.

A test was being performed on reactor 4 at the Chernobyl power plant, the test was deemed to be simple and in fact the plants director didn’t even bother coming to the test. The test didn’t last even a minute until the core exploded. The night shift group was apparently not shown how to properly conduct the test and was incredibly mismanaged.
