By evoking this clear emotion and allowing himself to [strike her] and [smother her] the stereotypes of a “war-like” “foul” Moore are becoming apparent stated by AC Bradley, that the jealousy provoked in Othello ‘converts human nature into chaos and liberates the beast in man.’ Therefore the male attitudes of women shift to negative actions as he insists he would “shred her to pieces.” “Shred”, again animalistic imagery is used for wild barbarous animals.
