1. She goes from a relatively weak Red that has little say in her life to a strong and powerful newblood.  
2. She had to adapt herself to fit in with the Silvers in Red Queen and her lessons with them made her stronger.  She also was able to harness and learn how to use her ability.  She hates Silvers and how they oppress Reds, so she had to become a strong leader in Glass Sword with her new army of newbloods.

She eventually finds out her friend will meet her fate of having to go to war so she puts herself into the equation to help save both herself and her friend no matter the price. She probably felt as though she was alone and didn't care as much about her fate, but when she realized her friend would have the same fate she realized how much she didn't want that. Peris goes from being really close to Tally, to distant with her and not really wanting to be around her. 
2. Some changing pressures would be when he got pretty and he had to move to New Pretty Town. Another pressure was the other pretties that were in New Pretty Town. 
3. My theory as to why Peris becomes distant with Tally is because she isn't pretty like he is. She is still ugly and lives in Uglyville.
