It was wrapped and it was big. whenever he opened it, it was a black Casio brand keyboard. he was excited but after 2 months, he never touched it again, and her never even got to learn how to read music. the keyboard collected dust, and one day, I found a beginners piano book, and I had the nerve to pick it up and turn on the keyboard. I sat there for about 30 minutes figuring out the notes on the keyboard. and the first song I learned was called Ode To Joy. as I learned to play the piano, all the voices in my head went away, and I would listen and focus on nothing else. 

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because it shows that even if you don't know how to play music, it is best to try because it can help you more than extracurricular, it can also help you mentally.

As I look around, I notice the violins hanging up on the wall, and I ask my dad, "what if I learn to play the violin?" he looks at me and tells the man up at the front "do yall do lessons for violin here? my daughter would like to play." The man nicely says "yes, we also do walk-in lessons." me and my dad exchange a look, and I continue walking around the store. I and my dad leave the store about 5 minutes later. and my dad says "I think you are very musically inclined and you have your first violin lesson next Wednesday." 1 month later, I am reading music, and I feel happier daily.

And after I started learning, I felt happier mentally. Since I was in orchestra, I have known people that play piano, and they sound really good, I thought to myself "I want to learn to do that." I went home that day to a keyboard I have previously played on, and I downloaded an app that helps people learn to play piano. here I am, in the 3rd quarter of 7th grade, and I can read music perfectly, play amazingly, have a better space to learn more, and have perfect pitch.
