Bandura’s social learning theory reminds us that students learn by watching others in and out of the classroom. We can model respectful communication, growth mindset language, and problem-solving strategies in the classroom so that hopefully they can use it out of the classroom as well.

In the elementary school, it is very important to model learning and behavior for students. Students learn heavily from both physical and virtual models. Modeling effective behavior to students sets them up for learning as they continue through school.

I like employing the I do, we do, and you do model when I teach. Especially in teaching content. But with behavior making sure I reinforce the expectation will support a positive classroom environment.
