One major challenge I faced was choosing where to study for college whether to stay with my mother in Mindanao or go to Cebu with my father. I decided to go to Cebu because I knew my mother couldn’t support me financially, especially with many siblings depending on her.

It wasn’t an easy decision. Leaving her side broke my heart, but I had to think about my future.

One of my proudest accomplishments was being chosen to represent my school in the drafting competition during the Technolympics held in Asturias. Being selected was a big honor, and it reminded me that hard work and dedication do get noticed.

I grew up in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental. I lived with my mother while my father was in Cebu as a working student. But honestly, it was my lola (grandmother) who raised me. My mother was also juggling work and school at the time, so I mostly saw her only at night.

Despite our situation, I’ve always been proud of my parents. They both worked hard in their own ways, and I admire their sacrifices even if we weren't together under one roof.

When I was just two years old, my parents separated. Even though they went their own ways, my father continued to support me financially. I grew up knowing that love can still exist even when families aren’t whole.
