While on the other hand somebody with less value (someone in the lower class) would get the last pick of materials and would have to find your own food

There are other people who may say that a stable food supply is the most important part of a civilization. Although food supply is an essential part of a civilization I believe social structure is what makes a civilization function. A civilization is important because it brings organization into the town and it ensures every job is completed and if somebody did not do their part then there would be many flaws in a town. Social structure helps the town thrive.
