         <description><![CDATA[<div>The National Flag of the United Kingdom is the Union Jack which is also known as the Union Flag: it is a transnational fag, full of historical significance. It represents the union of different countries and this flag is also incorporated in another national flags, such as the Australian one. The Union Jack incorporates the national symbols of three distinct countries: England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is composed by red cross, edged in white, which come from English and Irish flag and by a blue background, which come from Scottish flag.&nbsp;</div><div>No mention has been made of the Welsh Flag, whose Patron Saint is Saint David: the Welsh Dragon was not incorporated into the Union Jack because at the time, so in 1801, Wales was part of the Kingdom of England.</div><div>This flag is not symmetrical: the reason is because there are the cross of Saint Patrick and Saint Andrew.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first step taken in the creation of the flag of Great Britain was on 12<sup>th</sup> April 1606. King James VI of Scotland became king of England (King James I) and then he decided that the union of two realms under one king should be represented symbolically by a new flag. This one was composed by red cross from English Flag and by white cross from Scottish flag on the blue background from the Scottish flag.<br><mark>JAMES I</mark></div>]]></description>
