Two of The "Most" Important Amendments to the U.S. Constitution

For me, the First and Second Amendments are two of the "most" important amendments.
- The First Amendment becomes the most important part of the Bill of Rights because it protects five fundamental liberties: freedom of religion; freedom of speech; freedom of press; freedom of assembly; and freedom to petition the government to right wrongs. Under the First Amendment, people have rights to believe and worship their religion. Moreover, freedoms of speech, press, and petition allow American to exchange information and ideas with the government.
- The Second Amendment allows each state to have the right to maintain "a well-regulated militia," and citizens to "keep and bear arms" to protect themselves and their families.

Nowadays, there are some constitutional scholars agree that some things in the Constitution are no more suitable for the United States in the twenty-first century. "There is a fairly general perception that the constitutional structure that we regarded as normal 25 years ago isn't working," says Glenn Reynolds, a professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville" ( CQ Researcher, p. 745.) Levinson, University of Texas law professor and constitutional scholar Sanford, also thinks "the Constitution is out of date, given "our own twenty-first century norms" (p. 743.)

“Levinson would enlarge the Senate to give bigger states more senators," ... "and limit the lifetime tenure of Supreme Court justices” (CQ Researcher, p. 745.)
In my opinion, the population of each state had been changing a lot for 225 years; so for most populous states as Texas, California, or New York; the people in these states is many times greater than in other states like Alaska or Wyoming. Therefore, there may be many problems and work in states with larger populations. On another side, federal government decisions will have more impact on populous states than on less populous states. It will be fairer for populous states if they have more representatives in the government system.
"Limiting the lifetime tenure of Supreme Court justices" is another good proposal. We need to change the justices to avoid abuse of power, bribe or just simply to changing a new generation of our Supreme Court justices.
