It all began one Christmas day when Mr. Scrooge's partner, best and only friend, Mr. Marley, found himself dead in a coffin; from that day on everything turned gray for Mr. Scrooge and no Christmas was ever the same.

Seven years after the death of his partner, on Christmas Day, Mr. Scrooge finds himself in the accountancy house managing his money; when his nephew arrives to wish him a good Christmas, and to invite him to the dinner of this very celebration, which he refuses to attend, for Christmas is to him nothing but a waste of time and money; after a tense argument, the nephew leaves, and the uncle begins to take his coat, and go home to celebrate Christmas in his own way. Arriving at the house while he was finding the right key to the front door, he noticed a kind of strange face in the lock, which in one shout caused Mr. Scrooge to back away in fright, and after he had vanished, he entered his house with suspicion and somewhat confused by the previous event; He decided to go up to his room and change into his pajamas, and so dine in peace in front of the fireplace; with suspicion he changed and came down to eat his porridge, while he was eating quietly with a candle, and the heat of the fireplace observed that one of his decorative bells was beginning to move by itself, causing the others to move in the same way, causing a desperate sound, They were again motionless when there was the creaking of a door as if someone were entering or trying to enter by moving the knob from side to side; Mr. Scrooge, intrigued by the sight of the door, hid in his armchair, and out of nowhere the door was pierced by many chains, which had things he knew to do with the accounting house, money and so on, suddenly a kind of ghost crosses over and starts a little conversation with him and while asking him who he had been in his past life he realizes that his face was something familiar until the ghost confesses to him that in life he had been his partner, Mr. Scrooge, incredulous at what he was seeing, was frightened by the shouting and screaming of the ghost, until he himself gave the reason why he went to find it; it was no more and no less than a warning to Mr. Scrooge not to carry those chains. 3 ghosts had to visit him, and he would never see them again. As the ghost went out of the window, Mrs. Scrooge looked out involuntarily, and saw many ghosts floating about, with chains like those of Jacob Marley, terrified and incredulous, and closed the window tightly and went to sleep.
