John Harris was attempting to pass a truck, but instead of passing it, he rear ended it in a high speed collision. This collision had much force, as well as a possible log hitting him on the head, knocked Wonder unconscious and caused much bleeding. He was then rushed to the North Carolina Baptist hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
    After the accident, Stevie Wonder himself, his close friends, as well as family, were afraid he would never be able to create music again. He was scared that his musical gift was lost. This accident happened at the peak of his career, so this would be even more devastating for him to not know what he would have been able to accomplish if he had not been in this terrible accident.
