Red hills contains iron oxide indians thought there were healing powers. Glaciated region, it gets its name from the old glaciers. Ozark plateu, the oldest surface rock in the state. hilly and coverd in rocks and trees. Arkansas river lowlands rocks form the rocky mountains.  Wellington mcphersons lowlands, sand dunes with grasses, cherokee lowlands, very fertile soil a coal mining region. Chatuaugua hills, grazing land, it has trees and is covered by grass.  Smoky hills, 100 million years ago the region was under the ocean, Flint hills uplands, well known ranching area, this region is one of the last tall grass praries in the counrty.
