One quick and easy way to work on semantics at home is talking while doing everyday tasks such as getting dressed in the morning. Children can learn new vocabulary while doing everyday activities. Give your child the option: "Would you like to wear a t-shirt or sweatshirt?". As you do this have them name everything that they put on or have them tell you what they are doing. Ask them about colors, body parts, numbers, etc. Any vocabulary helps develop language and semantics.
