Yes, I noticed that the person's image and true personality are two completely different things. My friend appears calm and attentive in school, but, outside of school, he is the polar opposite. He is very energetic and loud. For example, he would do crazy acts in public. I noticed this gap because every day in class, he projects a smart and attentive student to the teacher. However, once school is over, his true personality is revealed.

One time, I got angry at my father for a small issue, which led me to argue and say insults at him. At the time, I let my anger get a hold of me. I did not realize what I was doing was useless and irrational. It ended up causing me to hurt both my father and I. Emotions do not serve me well in making a decision because it takes over rational thought.

When I write and assignment for class I don't usually think of who I am writing to like my teachers values or beliefs for the most part I like to write what fits the topic and is something I feel is good that I like since it is my writing not theirs, but since it is for a grade that my teacher is grading I take into account their usual grading style and what they suggest to do so that I can get good grades. If I was writing to someone else I probably wouldn't take anything into consideration just write that I like but depending on who it is it could be more serious or fun and free.

If I was writing a class assignment to my teacher, I would use more professional vocabulary and a formal tone. I would most likely use logical reasoning to support my stance. However, if I were writing to a close friend or my sibling, it would be informal and I would probably use the element of pathos or ethos when arguing. This is because I feel like if I were writing to an adult, I feel as if I have to speak professionally. Otherwise, the adults would not take me seriously since I am younger than them. On the other hand, I would use a less formal diction with people my age because I feel like they are more relatable and would be easier to talk with.

This is because they are the one that assigned the assignment and will be the one that is going to grade my writing so I had to make sure my writing align with my audience's (teacher) satisfactory. I do consider the arguments and support is most persuasive. I do choose words to make it more persuading to my teachers that embrace a more formal message. If I were to write to a different audience like my best friend, I would write more informally with words that can easily describe my feeling more accurately without trying to sound professional.
