The second Pillar of faith-Salat

In english this pillar means purification. To practice this pillar they 2.5% of there yearly income to charity. this shows love and kindness

The fourth pillar of faith-Siyam

In english this pillar means fasting. they practice this pillar by celebrating a holiday called Ramadan in the month of ramadan they eat before the sun rises then fasts till the sun goes down. This month is based on a lunar calendar so every year the month of ramadan is in a different part of the year.

The fifth pillar of faith-Hajj

In English this pillar means pilgrimage. To practice this pillar they have to go to mecca in the last month of the lunar year. when they are in mecca they do religious adventures.

The qur'an and mosques

The holy book of Islam is called the Qur'an. The Qur'an says that Muhammad could neither read nor write so scribes wrote down his preaching. The mosque is the Muslims house of worship. They usually meet at their mosque on Fridays, they have to go to the mosque at least once a week, But it is preferred to go on a friday. they do no have a day of rest like christians.
