Mentally Exhausted

Walter and Ruth has been struggling in there relationship. Ruth feels helpless in the relationship. Walter knows theirs a problem between there relationship and that is why Walter said "sometimes i don't even know how to try." Walter and Ruth doesn't know what to do anymore. Ruth doesn't know what he wants.

Happy
“So you went and did it [bought a house]! … PRAISE GOD! Please, honey—let me be glad…you be glad, too. Oh, Walter…a home…a home.” P. 91,92
Ruth is happy she bought a house. She happy because she doesn't have to raise there new child in the original neighborhood. Them moving to a new and bigger house gives them more space to raise a child. Most parents would want to raise there kids in a big house. Big families need more space.

My character is Walter. I do feel bad for Walter. He has made a lot of bad choices but those bad choices had good behind them like he tried to buy a liquor store with his daughters money but because he wanted to make a better life for his family. Walter makes bad decisions and he's a little inconsiderate and naive at sometimes but he is a good guy overall.

This art relates to my character. It relates to my character because its like Walters personality in art form. Walter had a goal to buy the liquor store. Mama told him it wasn't going to happen but he didn't listen and he kept on trying and trying to get it. Even when everyone told him to stop trying and just move on and to stop trying to live a dream he kept on going and tried to buy it. So "i can and i will" is related to Walter because he basically told himself that he can buy the store and that he will.

This poem relatives too my character because its about how people don't give up. Walter didn't give up on his liquor store dream, even though it backfired on him he still didn't give up on it. He ended up using his daughters school money to buy it then he basically got robbed from the guy who was helping him get it.

He saying he's going to keep going and keep pushing till he has no more fight left in him. He's going to push forward all the way till he has absolutely till he has no more energy left in him. He isn't gonna stop at any cost. He is determined. it's never good to quit. Like Eminem said in the last line "And not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face, and collapse."

Class/money --- use this in a statement --- Money can't buy happiness.
“And you—ain’t you bitter, man? Ain’t you just about had it yet? Don’t you see no stars gleaming that you can’t reach out and grab? … Here I am a giant—surrounded by ants. Ants who can’t even understand what it is the giant is talking about”.
The quote explains the theme because at that time other people didn't see Walters family in the same class as them. When Walter was talking George he ended up getting mad because he felt that George thinks he's better than them because he has more money than them and cause he grow up different, in a better house and graduated from school. The white guy who came to the door tried to get Walter's family to move to a different house because he felt that they wasn't in the same class as them. They was racist in that community.
