I thought the idea of a split personality would be effective as I have had past with portraying split personality. I have read Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde which is a gothic, thriller book about this person who has two sides of him (good and evil), also I have done physical theatre piece in schizophrenia which I got some idea from such as a young innocent child with a split personality. We decided to have a female character as being vulnerable as this is stereotypical in a thriller film> we took the idea from psycho which we had studied as it shows the women as being young and innocent.  We showed this in her costume, the idea of a yellow coat shows her vulnerability and the make up wiped across her face shows another side of her. The yellow coat shows her immaturity. The idea of a young innocent girl makes the audience feel sorry for her and makes them want to help her. With our age group who watches this would wanting to save the poor girl however there is a bad side to her which the audience haven't seen yet.The idea of a young age group means they are young enough to think this could be them or if its a couple with a young child they could be thinking what if it was there child. This screenshot shows a mid shot but it is close enough to see her facial expression, from my facial expression you can see that i have a split personality as my face is showing not more expression other than being gormless. Even though young children don't wear makeup, the idea of her makeup being wiped across her face shows that it has been done poorly like she has done it herself. The idea of using mid shots and tracking shots and close ups means that the audience get to see every specific detail about the young girls outfit.
The idea of the girl having natural hair is to show she has been missing for a while and hasn't been able to do it.
We tried to make me look as young as possible by wearing a baggy coat and simplistic makeup to try and make me look younger. We decided that i would wear ripped jeans to make them look like i had worn them for a while and that they were ripped for a reason.
We got some inspiration from a film called Alice , Sweet Alice. This is a thriller film about 2 sisters and the older sister murders the younger sister. This also linked with our idea of a duo personality.

The danger signs showed that the child was in danger.

With me being the first character revealed in the film it shows i play a main charcter. You a show a missing poster of her however that is when she was younger. When she is walking towards the fencing you can't see her facial expression, this is building up tension to the audience because they haven't seen her face.

This shows how Aaron is intimidating me and that i am vulnerable to him and I'm scared. You can see this through my screaming and my facial expressions. The idea of me sat in the corner is because it suggests that i have been backed in to a corner. With me sitting it on the floor shows how i haven't had anywhere to sleep other then the floor and sitting on the floor was my normality. This is a film about a young girl who has tried to strangle a baby. Even though she is young she can still do bad things like within our film. From this picture the audience feel intimidated by her eyes so we tried to do something similar at the end with a close up of my face with my eyes wide open to show intimidation and what power people can do with there eyes.
