I actually find this an endearing depiction and a good example of how his peers accept he is different. I recall one episode where children were talking to the camera about him and one said "My dad says he doesn't need a management plan, he needs a good hiding" or something to that effect. It cleverly shows different voices and the harmony that could exist. In the final episode, this character fails and is going to have to repeat year 6.
