Innovative Teacher by Emilee Kubara

Read the following quote found on the internet from a teacher named Valerie. "Innovation in education means allowing imagination to flourish and not be afraid to try new things. Sometimes these new things fail but it's awesome when they are a success. Without the right attitude, innovation would just be a word and the art of education would miss out out on great accomplishments."
Do you agree or disagree? Are you "innovative" in your classroom? Share some ideas.
Respond to one other person! Please use complete sentences: "I agree/disagree because _________."

I agree because if things don´t change then you will keep getting the same results. Therefore new things must be implemented in the classroom and the kids should be able to use their minds to accomplish things. I use different games and technology in the room. I am also old school and like to do creative projects non technology wise.

I agree because innovation can not happen without trial and error. In order to grow you have to take a step and that can lead you to discover new things. A challenge I accepted this year was to try FLIPGRID. I have started using it, and honestly it is very fun, but a little time consuming at first. However, the kiddos love it! They love seeing their faces on video and seeing the videos their peers have created as well.
