Many people know their way through MTA; since I am used to the same commute, I find it peaceful. There are some times where theres chaos or delays but as a new yorker we get used to it

Accessibility

Since the transportation in NYC is public, everyone has access to it and is "welcomed" including the homeless. Many people dislike it for that reason. Homeless people tend to be in the train( stations) making it not so clean.

Personal Experience

When I am on the train, i am in my world because I tend to zone out. Therefore, i dont observe my commute. Certain times I do pay attention to certain surroundings due to safety reasons but i zone out most of the times.
