I am of old and young,

a man and a women,

just like moons and like suns,

open the door, then close it behind you.

But I know,

a learner with the simplest,

do not hold regrets,

Don't you take it awful hard,

a teacher of the thoughtfullest.

Did you want to see me broken?

I do not know which to prefer,

I resist anything other than my own diversity,

give it back with gratitude.

I used "For Calling the Spirit Back from Wandering the Earth in its Human Feet" and "Still I Rise"

I really like how I can see which lines come from which poem. I didn't know what I was going to expect from reading these spliced poems, but for some reason, your poem really hits me. Like, I can tell where you are coming from with your poem. I can see how this works with this week's theme of people's way of life.

Hi! I think your poem is really well done. I particularly like how you started the poem, each line stating two different contrasting things that you are. I think that those lines creates an interesting and meaningful theme of diversity, but connection at the same time. I noticed that to be a recurring theme that most of the poems had.
