I think you should try confronting him about his Facebook status, tell him what you think, explain to him why it bothers you and if he comes with that lame excuse about him not caring about Facebook or something it means that he is not willing to make changes for you and your relationship. Leave him alone, he`s just playing with you, and your just his side “chick”. He`s been with her in almost eight years, so it is unlikely to him just to leave her be just like that, so fuck him and just go on with your life, and find a new better man than him “that fucking piece of shit”. Maybe he`s with a  fucking whore, and he`s thinks it`s normal to him, to fuck around with girls.

It seems like that they are not done with each other yet. The fact that they both still haven’t deleted their relationship status on Facebook can seem like they still have hopes for each other and it shows that they are still in their on/off relationship. 

Tell him how you feel about it and let him know that you not are interested in being a third wheel and that he can tell when he is available.
