I’m writing this to share with you a delightful recipe that I recently discovered and tried making at home. It’s called tanghulu, a Chinese candy fruit snack that is viral in the internet.

Tanghulu is a great combination of sweet, sour, crunchy and juicy. It is made by skewering fruits and dipping them in a caramelized sugar syrup that hardens into a crispy coating. It tastes sweet, sour and juicy. Also, I found this tanghulu looks like jewels on a stick which is so beautiful to look at.

I learned how to make tanghulu from a recipe that I found on Tiktok. It was a piece of cake and fun to make. All you need are some fresh fruit , sugar, water, and bamboo skewers. You just need to wash the fruits, skewer them and set them aside. You can use any type of fruits that you like, such as oranges, grapes, strawberries or kiwis. Then, you make the caramelized sugar by boiling sugar with water in a pot. After that, quickly dip the fruit skewer into the caramelized sugar because the sugar will harden quickly. Finally, you can place the skewers on a parchment paper and let it cool completely.

I highly recommend you to give it a try as it is really delicious to enjoy. Let me know if you have try it and how it turns out. Hope to hear from you soon.

Your friend,

Farah

Farah

Numerous stalls and booths presented a wide range of foods and beverages from various ethnic groups and regions of Sarawak. I tried dishes like laksa Sarawak, kolo mee, ayam pansuh, umai, and midin, all of which were incredibly tasty and distinct in their own right.

In addition, numerous cultural performances and activities kept the visitors entertained. I’m writing this to share with you a delightful recipe that I recently discovered and tried making at home. It’s called tanghulu, a Chinese candy fruit snack that is viral on the internet.

You can use any type of fruit that you like, such as oranges, grapes, strawberries or kiwis. Then, you make the caramelized sugar by boiling sugar with water in a pot. After that, quickly dip the fruit skewer into the caramelized sugar because the sugar will harden quickly. Finally, you can place the skewers on parchment paper and let it cool completely.

I highly recommend you give it a try as it is delicious to enjoy. Let me know if you have tried it and how it turns out. Hope to hear from you soon.

Your friend,

Farah
