I chose to do a report on Ireland because I am part Irish and I thought it would be an interesting country. An interesting person who is widely believed to be Irish and who many people associate with the Irish is Saint Patrick. However he is not actually Irish, he is British, but he did convert Ireland to Christianity, and we have a holiday in his honor, so I thought he was worth mentioning.

Both Ireland and Northern Ireland want to avoid a hard border, a border that has walls and is guarded heavily. The DUP, a political party in Northern Ireland, thinks that a border can be achieved without being guarded.
