Cut of their ink supply with sabotage. If you do that they have no medias to communicate with other than talking. Therefore not letting Luther to mass produce books.

They would most likely want to stop the ideas from spreading by stopping the source. Which would be taking out Luther. They also might come back with their own propaganda. They might make their point of views or ideas sound better then Luther or Calvin's

If enough people become protestant, I would just start to switch over what the church was learning and teaching.

I would shut down the Catholic church because several of the protestant leaders such as Martin Luther and Queen Elizabeth have many points on why the Roman Empire is wrong

If i were a Catholic Church leader, I would ban the practice of other religions, i would get someone in high power to ban the practice and if others were caught they would be setanced to jail or death.
