Objectives: 
  • To give you an international experience 
  • To provide you with the opportunity to codesign a text
  • To encourage active student learning and teamwork

Participants:
Students from the Chandler-Gilbert Community College in the USA and students from the Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia). 

Length:
This experience starts on February 1 and finishes on March 29. Students will meet at least 1 hour every week(virtually) to complete a task that has to be uploaded into the selected tool.

Tasks:

  • To prepare a presentation for the International Education Week celebration at your universities. 
  • To write a 5- 7 minute presentation (750 – 850-words with a minimum of 4 resources)  about the similarities and differences between your community and a foreign community. 


Procedure:


In pairs with a colleague from Colombia/USA. You have to meet regularly with your colleague to discuss the content and to provide feedback.

Product:

Write a script and record the video as your final submission. The text might consider social, political, business/economic, educational, tourism, environmental, and/or culture values (like individualism/collectivism, risk-taking versus conventional approaches, gender power).
