James Monroe had created a US constitution, but felt it didn't support ones rights so he diminished it. After doing that he became a representative for Virginia in 1790.

A leader at home board is saying that Monroe was a leader because he got to help with the strengthening of Franco-American ties. James Monroe was the governor of Virginia for three more years than Thomas Jefferson sent him back to France to help negotiate the Port of New Orleans.

Success or failure- It's both James Monroe becoming governor and him helping the US double in size was a success but, he tried create a stronger bond with Great Britain but Jefferson got mad and almost fired from all sorts of public and social events.

The Era of good things was the beginning of Monroe's 2nd term. Monroe became the first president to have his ceremony outside the white house as it was being built. He leaved on 1 street in Washington until they rebuilt the White House in it's new spot.

Success or failure- In my opinion it would be a failure because he didn't get to live in the white house any years that he was president. But confidently the title is The Era' of Good Things so that means a good thing must have happened like the White House being rebuilt.

The Monroe Doctrine was created to help develop the concern with Europeans power and how they wanted to Spanish's control of South America. During this time Monroe also declared an end to Europeans colonization in the western hemisphere and forbidden them to have any contacts to American continents.

Success of failure- The Doctrine was kinda of use less at first because it had to change its first responsibility that they made, it forced the Europeans out of the way and to have no contact ability to the America continents. But in the end the Monroe Doctrine became an important tool and became a specially tool used to dispute over American territory.
