Cummings paid homage to his father in the poem “my father moved through dooms of love”. The death of his father had profound effect on Cummings and this is reflected in his work, the focus of which shifted to deeper aspects of life. The incident is considered the beginning of a new phase in his career as an artist and writer.

in all of his poems, cummings uses punctuation and capitalization to bring a hidden meaning into his poems. He also interrupts some of his sentences and forms completely new thoughts. some say he uses a bit of sarcasm in his poems also. I think he does this so that people who read his poems will have to stop and think about what exactly he is trying to say instead of rushing through the poem and not getting anything out of it.

E.E. Cummings painted in many different styles such as landscapes, abstracts, and portraits. I like the way he paints his abstract paintings because they are a puzzle just like his poetry. Instead of just writing the words on a piece of paper, Cummings tries to tell a story with his drawings as well. Below is one of my favorite works of art by him.

Imagery in "Somewhere I have never travelled, gladly beyond"

According to
https://www.enotes.com/topics/traveled-beyond/in-depth#in-depth-style
There are two main types of imagery systems in this poem, which are: human anatomy and nature. The poem’s focus on anatomical imagery is apparent from the second line, when the speaker discusses his beloved’s eyes. These eyes have such a power over the speaker that one look can easily “unclose” him. Likewise, a “frail gesture” made by the woman evokes powerful feelings from the speaker. The poem ends with anatomical imagery, as the speaker discusses “the voice of your eyes” and “small hands” that rival the manipulative powers of nature.

EE Cummings was a pioneer in the world of poetry during the early 1900's. He was eccentric and very innovative with his writing style. He placed words in strange assortment and used parentheses to convey imagery. Cummings also defied any and every linguistic or grammatical rule that stood in his way. He rarely used capital letters or conventional punctuation

The French put him in prison for three months because of his open anti-war opinions, his lack of hatred towards the Germans, and his friendship with William Slater Brown, who was a suspected spy.

e e cummings adopted Transcendentalist beliefs from his father, and his poems were likely inspired by Ralph Waldo Emerson and Walt Whitman. cummings always experimented with his poems, similarly to other Transcendentalist poets, and he often tackled the same topics that many Transcendentalists did as well. These topics were often ones which seemed unexplainable by logic alone, such as love, nature, and more.
