I think feminism now shames women for enjoying and wanting traditional roles while prasing only career driven women who work tirelessly even if that is not what every women wants.

Right now, I like that I can stay home, and expect a man to do stuff for me, and bring in money. I do know that later when working in my own business, I would like to be equal to men. I don't want to be looked down on just because I am a Woman. Also, I'm not sure if I am because some things are made for men, and some things are made for women. Feminism to me means that men and women should be equal. I think Judaism's view is that men and women are made from one body, so I guess we are equal. But on the other hand, women stay in tents in the Torah. Overall, Im not sure, I'd have to look into it.

Feminism means believing that EVERYONE can do ANYTHING. In Judaism there are so many women who do incredible things by standing up for what is right and what they believe in. Women are a key part in where Jews stand today. Without women, who knows where we could be be. I agree that women are an essential part to our world, but I am not sure that I would call myself a feminist, but I agree that women and men can do whatever they would like to in order to feel good about themselves.

I am not a feminist. I think that women have a different role than men. I don't believe that we are inferior, but rather that we are not the same. Hashem created men and women for a reason and we have our differences. I think that women should be seen as different than men. We are not the same. Women have a very special role in Judaism which is to make the home. Some may think that this is showing that women are inferior, but the Torah describes women as being very special and having a lot of wisdom. So no I'm not technically a feminist, but I think women should not be seen as inferior.

I am not a feminist by the definition of the video. I think feminism is a woman doing whatever she wants whether it be a professional job or a household job. I am a feminist in this way because I think a woman should strive to accomplish what she wants to. If other aspects of life come in the way and she has to put off this path for some reason, then that's ok as long as she knows what she wants to do and how a family is a bracha. I think the Torah doesn't view "feminism" as anything. The Torah doesn't subscribe to a movement, but the Torah is true to its core values, and these values value women but aren't "feminist."

However, currently feminism has shifted to advocating more aggressively for rights other than equality so in that sense, I am not really a feminist. To me, feminism is extremely important because I want myself as well as my children and their children to have equal and plentiful opportunities to pursue whatever they may want. Judaism's view on feminism is very diverse and complex. There may be differing opinions and interpretations regarding feminism and gender equality. It is important to engage in respectful and nuanced discussions about these topics, while also recognizing and valuing the diversity of perspectives within the Jewish community. Judaism values women for specific roles and men for specific roles, it is not necessarily about equality but rather fulfilling Hashem's word.

Because Torah often asserts woman’s necessarily traditional roles it does not aline with the feminist agenda that sees woman thriving in all fields( that I also agree with).

I am a feminist because I believe that women should be allowed the same opportunities in life as men, whether they decide to take them or not. I believe that women's actions should be their own and not solely dictated by what society wants them to do. Feminism to me DOES NOT mean women and men are exactly the same or that women are better than men. For me, it means dismantling the archaic and longstanding idea that women should be subservient to men or that women are inherently capable of less things. It means that, although we are different biologically, our abilities shouldn't be determined and confined by our gender. Honestly, I am conflicted on what the Torah's stance is. Yes, many women in tanach are homemakers and are not in positions of power, but it could be due to the societal norms of the time and not the values of the Torah. Devorah for example was in a position of power. However, the people who teach us Torah today have their own views on feminism and in interpreting the Torah and mitzvot to us this might influence what they say. I would have to do more research to determine Torah's stance.
