<title>Shadle Park students have strong school spirit. They love to participate in pep assemblies and support their school sports teams. The biggest spirit event is the annual groovy shoes competition between Shadle and rival North Central High School. The teams face off in girls and boys basketball, and people from the community judge which school has better spirit. Students from both schools come dressed up in their school&#39;s colors. The school that shows the best spirit, gets the trophy: Groovy Shoes: a pair of shoes with one shoe decorated by the art department of each school. Additionally, students use something called the spirit potty, which is a green and gold toilet seat that is used to motivate students to be more spirited. It is lifted to reveal a RAH! and the students must yell and cheer.</title>
