Every country has their own health care system and runs it differently but they all have one goal, which is to assure the people are able to have access to the health care that is needed at a reasonable cost. As you can see from this poll more people would like to have private health care if possible over the public health care that is offered. This is mainly due to the fact that private health care will cover more and gives one more options such as picking their own doctor.

Medicare in Australia was introduced in 1984; it provided free and/or subsidized treatment by health professionals. This Medicare is for all Australian citizens and residents. Since medicare is so open it causes for long waits to see doctors and a smaller choose in the doctors willing to treat/see a patient. Private health care the patients are able to choose their own doctor and there is no or a very small waiting time to see the doctor fro treatments. But private health care has to be paid for.
