FIRST: as part of your individual learning, you are expected to do research about a current pressing issue related to masculinities studies in your adopted country (See destination 4).

SECOND: you are part of a team advising the United Nations unit that covers your assigned WHO region. Each member is the “expert” on their country and will share their expertise within their group to prepare a regional understanding of masculinities issues in your assigned region. Prepare a comparative regional analysis examining the commonalities and differences in the issues arising across the region. Discuss and agree on one or several masculinities issues that are relevant across your region.

THIRD: research your regional social issue thoroughly. Follow any references to it in the media. Discuss, among all the members of your group, your overall, collective views about this topic, what it entails, what it means, and what its impacts are on that region. (Note that some countries in the region might not fit the common regional trend, these cases can help you to illustrate the diversity within the region.)

FOURTH: use your assigned Padlet to organise your virtual gallery exhibit. All members of your group must be involved in this process. Make sure everyone participates; this is a requirement of this exercise. Your virtual exhibit introduces visitors to current issues on masculinities studies on a topic of your interest. Please discuss your ideas with me in advance. (See next page for guidelines about Padlet).

FIFTH: Remember that the whole idea of the project is to present a virtual tour to your audience on issues of cultural expressions of your pressing topic. It is required that you connect your presentation to some concepts or ideas discussed in class (e.g. “This image represents ideas of the manosphere because…”; “This clip shows the notion of gender scripts for young men…”; “This image resonates the study among young men in Mozambique by author X because…”). You can also raise some questions or challenges that your gallery raises to the field.
