Thus we believe this because the dog was stuffed, and the two past residents (Billy said “I’m almost positive I’ve heard those names before somewhere."-Slide 4) were killed, but then stuffed. Later, you hear that Billy Weaver is missing, but he says his drink taste like bitter almonds which contains cyanide. Cyanide is poisonous, which could be the reason Billy is dead. He goes and is greeted at the door with a little old lady. He rejects dinner then goes to his room where she tells him to go sign the guestbook because it's the law.  He signs the book and begins to study the other entries. He sees that there are only two other entries. He recognizes the names and is beginning to think about how he knows them. He soon remembers that the people had gone missing on a cross-country trip. This is when the old lady walks in. Billy asks her about the previous entries and she tells Billy that those people have never left, and she looks at the two stuffed animals. 

So we conclude from this that the woman turned Billy into an animal, killed him, then stuffed him and turned him into a decoration. \
