I have traveled all over California, and I LOVE it!
As a CA native, it is easier for me, but you can definitely go too!

I have been here a LOT, and I HIGHLY recommend going, as it is gorgeous, and I love going all over SF taking photos. And, I highly recommend going to Chinatown. I also love San Francisco because of its diversity and unity with the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC groups. I highly recommend going to The California Academy of Sciences and the Exploratorium with kids, as it is very educational and fun. I also recommend going to In-In-Out for at least one meal, and if you've never had it before, I think you are going to love it. I'm probably saying this because I have lived in CA my whole life, but I highly, highly recommend going here.

You have probably heard of Yosemite multiple times, as it is famous all over the world because of its views, its waterfalls, and Half Dome. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend going here, but as a warning I want to say that you should always remember before you go to check if there are any fires in or around the areas, because I remember going in late 2020, and it was so smokey that I could see and smell the smoke. But otherwise I highly recommend going.

When I went to Death Valley Nat. Park, I went in late November of 2021, but it still got up into the 80's (in Fahrenheit)! Even though it gets quite warm down there, I highly recommend going, as it has gorgeous views. But always check on the national park website for heat warnings and other things. For more information, here is the URL for the national park website: nps.gov

I recommend staying for a few days at one of the resorts, but you can also camp if you'd like. There are a few stores and gas stations in the park, but from some places it takes a little bit of time to get there.

I stayed overnight a few miles away at a resort and when I went in May of 2022, it was GORGEOUS! This 127 acre property was designed by the Oakland native Julia Morgan from 1919 to 1947. It is gorgeous and I highly recommend visiting this property. For more information, go to hearstcastle.org
