I don't think I could have taken much more of it. However, even with all the relief, as a loyalist, I am fuming with anger. The Americans have the nerve to not repay us or return our property that they ignorantly took, leaving some to
have to lament over the wreck of their departed wealth and estates! It just doesn't seem fair. At least a little good from the end of the war comes with this mess, although it certainly would have been great if we hadn't lost to our pitiful rivals.

Who would have ever thought that we'd be able to win? Not even the fact that the British never returned our slaves or won't give us their military camps can ruin my mood. We're free from their grim rule, and that's all that matters to me. We worked hard for our independence, and it may be challenging at times to keep our country under control since thirteen wheels require a steady and powerful regulator to keep them in good order.  Although a bit overwhelming, freedom is the best feeling I've ever felt!
