San Fransisco has recently banned the sales of ALL e-cigarettes, which is the same city where JUUL is based. The FDA has yet to clear vaping e-cigarettes as a healthy alternative to smoking, and until they have cleared them, if any, no products of the sort will be available in San Fransisco. E cigarettes were invented in 2003, but rose in popularity in 2014 with the creation of "Mods" which could create bigger clouds, longer battery life, and let users customize their e-cigarettes. With the rise in popularity in 2015/2016, vape 'tricks' became more and more popular. I believe this is what attracted so many teenagers to the fad. There are many flavours available as well as customizable features, and the nicotine levels in each device rises.
