Imagine that time again. Think of yourself stepping inside that zoo, excited. But now think, towards the end of the trip, did you really have fun? Did you even learn anything? Because really, what fun can you have, what can you learn seeing these animals pacing from boredom and mental problems?Animals die before they are supposed to due to habitatal problems."So,how can this effect us?"you may ask. Believe it or not,it does effect us. Some people eat pandas, kangaroos, ducks and other animals. If these animals spend their lives dieing in zoos, what will there be left for us to eat?I strongly believe that animals shouldn't be kept in zoos. First of all because they don't get their needs completed, secondly because animals are getting extinct, and most importantly, they aren't taken care of. "The only creature on earth whose natural habitat is the zoo is the zookeepers."-Robert Brault

The first reason why animals shouldn't be kept in zoos is because they don't get their needs completed. The video HOME SWEET Habitat told me as a fact that elaphants walk 30 miles out in the wild and 1,000 times smaller in the zoo which is 0.03 miles.Another example is that a zoo keeper says "Shanthi doesn't like walking inshoes;it's harder for him" after helping a elaphent named Shanthi who had a hurt foot. What this made me think is that Shanthi and animals like him need to know how to take care of themselves. And like CHUNGDAM LEARNINGSEEKRR explains, animals get more oxygen in zoos but in zoos humans inhale all the oxygen. He also says that the sound levels in zoos are higher than in zoos,27db in the wild and 62-72 db in zoos to be exact. That is a difference of 35-45 db!Animals are depriving in their needs! This is why there shouldn't be zoos.

The second reason why Animals shouldn't be kept in zoos is because they are getting extinct. Animals who get send to zoos in truth don't get privilege of a longer life. Some of the animals just die during their voyage. This is like trafficking, except with animals. Animals are dieng like flowers these days. Like I saw in HOME SWEET HABITAT, zoos kill animal, "or what they call recycling(fed to other animals)" Patrick Kennedy, author of THE MODERN ZOOS from Teen Ink says. 2 foxes were killed in Dartmoor Wild Life Park. A giraffe was also killed to feed a lion. THE MODERN ZOOS also explains that babies are sent to the wild when they become mature. You may be thinking so that's a good point for zoos because instead of killing animals when they can't be much more taken care of! But unfortunately you are wrong. This would mean that after years without training the animals would be let out without knowing how to get their prey and so animals,as a result got a even smaller life in the wild after getting raised in the zoo than animals who lived their life in the zoo. So I believe that animals shouldn't be kept in zoos.

The most important reason why animals shouldn't be kept in zoos is because they are not taken care of.For example in the video THE WORST ZOOS ON EARTH in Earth Titan it shows how zoos take animals and chain them so we can take pictures with them!It shows how Poocan Zoo chained its animals and gave its tiger a space of only 4 desks. And so the tiger could be calm when people came to take their picture with him, he was fed drugs! And like I learned from LEARN ENGLISH TEENS some animals tried to suicide! The youtuber told how he had taken a picture with a gorrila before and the gorrila asked him for a tip by holding up his hand. The youtuber didn't realize this and held the gorrila's hand and the gorrila started to cry!!What I think about this is that he was unhappy by the zoos treatment. In the article DOGS WORK WITH ELAPHANTS AT THE PITTSBURGH in the website Newsela, dogs were trained to scare elaphants. What I think about this they force dogs to behave this way so it is bad for the dogs and it is bad for the elaphants since they are the ones who are getting scared from the dogs. Speaking Peet's words, "It's cruel to both the dogs and elaphants."These pudgy animals are now bones! This makes me believe that animals shouldn't be kept in zoos.

Critic says that animals are taken care of. While this may be true, looking at the good facility zoos are providing to animals, and the research they are putting. What is also true is that animals are not happy in zoos. You can't deny the fact that we're happier in the wild.Earth TITAN, THE WORST ZOOS ON EARTH also says that animals aren't being fed properly. In the wild, they could eat as much as they wanted and knew how to collect their own food. A peacock was seen eating another peacock's feathers. The poor thing must be hungry.😔Animals have their rights.

To wrap it all up, animals shouldn't be kept in zoos because they don't get their needs completed, because animals are getting extinct and because animals aren't taken care of. I remember going to a zoo once and also remember the long line getting ready to enter the zoo and the ticket was pretty expensive! If we stop going to zoos, their business will stop and so they will stopping building zoos.Take your stand!
