Many kids want to go to college, but don't always have the money to do so. One way to afford it is for a student to take out a loan (page 7). But then there's the decision of what type of loan to use, and this can be difficult. There are two types of loans: private and federal (page 7). There are different types of federal loans as well. In this presentation, I will be sharing and ranking the different types of loans on how well it would work for me.

Private loans are loans that are based on credit history and are fixed or variable (page 7). For me, I would rank this at the bottom of choices for me. This requires to have a little bit of credit because it is through your own bank. I don't have a credit card so I wouldn't be able to qualify for this loan anyway.

Out of the three, this would be my second choice. This loan is based on an individual's credit score. They are also typically low-interest loans. Since I don't have a credit card, I would be able to qualify for this one. It doesn't say there must be credit in my account, so I could maybe this would be a good option.

I feel that this would be the best option for me. It provides long term money based on an individual's needs. Usually, there is a low interest rate and the government pays it while the student is attending school. Most individuals qualify for this type of loan, and I think I would qualify for it too. Only one of my parents is paying for my college, so this would be very helpful to have when I go to college.

The first credit card I looked at was a Chase Sapphire Card that was good on rewards. It can give me points based on what I purchase when I travel. But the drawbacks of it are too much for me. There is an annual fee that I have to pay, and I don't travel that much so the fee wouldn't be as worth it to pay in the long run.

The second one I looked at was a Capital One Venture Card. It has easy to use rewards because I get miles for anything I spend money on. If I'm traveling, I don't have to be fixed with one airline or hotel, I can choose whichever one I want. I feel this card is the better choice because I can be more flexible with it and still gain rewards and miles.
