In the ice age much of the oceans water was in glaciers so the ocean had a lower water level revealing the land bridge Beringia. Scientists believe that Ancient Asians followed hearts of Mastodons and Mammoths over the land bridge into the America's. As the ice age ended the water stored in glaciers began to melt leading to a rise in the oceans water level covering up Beringia.
