The CIA deemed the town to be worth nothing so they let them keep it. They end up staying at a run down motel for free. It makes the audience feel bad for them at first because of how bad the motel is. The boys go to the arcade on a daily basis to play some of their favorite games. The show takes place in the 80s when arcades where one of the biggest attractions for kids in their free time. One of the favorite games of the main characters was “dig dug” they held the top spot on this game until a mysterious gamer under the name “MADMAX” takes over their top spot. As they debated with a worker to reveal the player's name, Will unexpectedly noticed that it was snowing outside. However, when he turned to ask his friends, he was drawn to the Upside Down with the arcade seemingly abandoned and his friends missing. Will observed a red thunderstorm coming for him, before Mike, unbeknown to his visions, lapsed him out and they returned to playing. The boys go on a mission to figure out who MADMAX could possibly be. They investigate almost every boy at school until they realize that mad max isn’t a boy, it is a girl. Max is new to Hopkins and after a while becomes a major part of the friend group. This group of friends goes on crazy magical adventures through the series. This picture I chose is important because it is the house of the Salmon family's neighbor. Mr. Harvey was the man who killed Susie. He cleaned up the murder so well that nobody even the police expected him to be the cause of Susie's death. One day Susie's father Jack Salmon was helping Mr. Harvey build some type of contraption. Susie gave a sign to her father from heaven and he started to realize he killed his daughter. The house is huge because they have such a big family and need to fit them. It is also a target for the burglars as they are the antagonist (and the villians) of the movie. This is where most of the movie also takes place and Kevin sets up all of his traps and pranks. Without the house the movie wouldn't be the same. At the beginning of the movie we see the whole family together eating pizza in the kitchen. There are so many of them that Kevin ends up being forgotten the next day due to all of thr ruckus going on. The house also helps us see it is Christmas time by having lights and decorations up. This is definitely the main setting of this movie, even the movie is named after it. The location of the sandlot was in Salt Lake City in a local neighborhood. Although the movie was made in 1993, it took place in the 60's. The boys spent most of their time in the sandlot including the 4th of July as it shows in the movie.
