1.The author uses a red leaf on every page, and they all add up to the red tree.
2. Because the little girls day kept getting worse and worse and she was regretting stuff, but towards the end, things got brighter, and it went from sad to happy.
3. The mood of the story is very depressing, gloomy and mysterious and the author shows this by using dark colours and facial expressions on the girl.
4. Yes, because the images have a lot of hidden meanings and tell us more than the text.
5. The little girl could have not been as depressed and could have looked at things a different way, and know that there is light at the end of a tunnel.

The little girl is in a dark mini world that she fills her felling just darkness depressing and more horrible felling that she is felling.
4. Character behave differently when something makes them happy, joyful and exciting full with happiness around inside and outside when someone makes character happy in a story book that people can experience other peoples feelings when something bad or somebody dies close to you you will fell depress wont you.
