I thought your book was very interesting and very good but it was kind of slow. When the war parts did happen they where not very interesting and made me lose interest very fast. At first it takes off very slow and then fast and slow again. It did have a lot of action that I liked but I would have liked it more if the action was more packed and came in sooner. This book does have 300 pages so it would have been better if you introduced the characters then what was leading up to the war and then the war. You did do this but it was all to slow like taking a chapter to introduce you to one character. The action it was kind of fast to action picking up on around page 75 but it was all too slow and did not describe the events all too well.
