"Gracefully Grayson" by Ami Polinsky is a novel about a human named Grayson. She is a girl on the inside, but the outside still looks like a boy and he decides to come. The problem is: When Grayson tries to come out, there is many obstacles in his way. This book, like most novels, has a Social Issue, which would probably identify as Gender Identity. This is a real problem because everyone expects you to be a boy if you wear and use masculine products, which is not okay because actors and actress' wear makeup. People nowadays care too much about things like gender and it doesn't matter if you are bisexual, transgender, female, male, homosexual, queer, asexual, heterosexual, or anything. You are still human. Can Grayson beat all of his obstacles? Read the book to find out!

"George" by Alex Gino is about a human that also very similar to Grayson. Their stories are basically the same because Grayson started to show who she really was for the same reason that George did. It is definitely still a book you would want to read, though! Although it is such an inspirational book, it is bringing people apart in some places.

"Alex Strangelove" is a movie about a boy named Alex Truelove, starring Daniel Doheny. Such a weird last name for a love movie, right? Well, Truelove's got some taste, you could say. High school senior Alex Truelove's plan to lose his virginity to lovable girlfriend Claire goes awry when he meets equally lovable Elliot. (By the way, don't use my Netflix please and the description/bio of the movie is from the movie itself, so I didn't make it up.)

As mentioned before, the book "George" has brought people apart in different places because of opinion and judging, which really adds to why Gender Identity is a Social Issue. The woman on the front of the article is Alex Gino, the transgender author of "George." He really makes the book mean a lot b because he can relate to a lot of the events that happen and he can explains how George probably feels at the moment about it.
